Our clients have included corporations, medium and small businesses, non-profit associations, religious groups and individuals.  We have represented targets of criminal investigations and witnesses before grand juries.  We have represented the State of Indiana, the City of Indianapolis and other state and quasi-state entities.  We have represented judges, attorneys, doctors, accountants, public officials and candidates for public office.  We have represented corporations who suspect employee or vendor theft, fraud, embezzlement or other illegal activity and have been asked to conduct an internal investigation to uncover and document the illegal activity.  We have counseled clients on very sensitive, private subjects.  We have represented families whose children were harmed.  We have represented clients in hearings and trials in federal and state courts and before administrative bodies.

We have represented clients who are facing multiple parallel proceedings -- that means a client who is under criminal investigation by one agency such as the Department of Justice, while also defending enforcement actions by a regulatory authority like the SEC or EPA and who may also be defending other civil lawsuits brought by private plaintiffs or shareholders arising out of the same conduct.  In connection with these complex parallel proceedings, we have negotiated "global" settlements resolving the legal morass created by the multiple criminal, administrative, enforcement and civil proceedings. 

Finally, we have also represented clients we have traditionally opposed such as police officers, federal agents or lawyers -- the ultimate compliment.  We presume they have sought us out because they believed we represented our clients well when we were dealing with them.
